School Social Worker - School-Based (In-Person)
Compensation:
Hourly Rate:
$50.00 - $53.00 per hour
Location:
Plymouth/Canton, MI (Primary need in Plymouth, MI) Onsite - In Person Only Position Summary RCM Health Care Services is seeking a full-time School Social Worker to provide in-person services to middle school students in the Plymouth, MI area for the 2026-2027 school year. This role focuses on supporting students' social-emotional development, conducting assessments, and implementing intervention strategies within a collaborative school setting. Candidates must have experience developing Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) and be available for immediate interviews. Responsibilities Schedule / Shift Full-time School-year schedule aligned with academic calendar Middle school setting Immediate start
Key Duties:
Conduct assessments using school records, interviews, and observations to determine student needs Develop and implement FBAs and BIPs Support students with IEPs and social-emotional learning interventions Communicate diagnostic findings and intervention strategies to families, staff, and stakeholders Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop student programs and services Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring Foster relationships between school, home, and community

Valid Michigan Social Worker License Required:
Approval (or eligibility) as a School Social Worker in Michigan Additional Requirements Experience writing FBAs and BIPs (required) Knowledge of IEP processes and special education services Understanding of child development, learning theory, and social-emotional needs Experience with MTSS and intervention-based practices
Skills:
