Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by supporting their social and emotional growth in a K-12 setting. This contract role in a Special Education District allows you to advocate for young people, collaborate with educators, and contribute your professional expertise where it's needed most. Assignments begin as soon as possible and run through June 2026.
Key Qualifications:
Active school social work certification (310) Professional experience supporting K-12 students, preferably within special education environments Solid understanding of behavioral and emotional needs in school settings Comfortable providing individual and group counseling services Skilled in collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Strong communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver school social work services to K-12 students, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment Assess students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs to help develop appropriate interventions Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to create individualized support plans Promote positive peer relationships, conflict resolution, and healthy coping strategies Support compliance with IEP goals and documentation requirements Serve as a resource and advocate for students navigating academic, family, or community challenges
