Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a School Social Worker in a supportive educational community near Rochester, MI. This onsite contract opportunity runs from ASAP through June 23, 2027, offering the chance to serve both general education and special education students. Your expertise will directly contribute to fostering a positive, inclusive environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work Current Michigan licensure as a Social Worker Experience working in K-12 school settings Strong foundation in clinical assessment and behavioral intervention Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Collaborative approach to working within multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct social-emotional support to students across general and special education Serve as the 504 Plan Coordinator, leading the planning and monitoring process for students with accommodations Deliver targeted behavioral interventions and crisis support when needed Partner with educators, administrators, and families to ensure student success Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP and student support meetings You will work onsite, supporting a diverse school community and making meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families.
