Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact supporting students across K-12 as a School Social Worker. A dedicated professional is needed to provide comprehensive social-emotional services in an educational setting. This is a full-time, contract opportunity located near La Crescent, MN, and available for immediate start. As a School Social Worker, you will work closely with teachers, families, and administrators to address the social, behavioral, and emotional needs of students. Utilize your expertise to enhance student learning and strengthen the school community.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid license as a School Social Worker in Minnesota, or eligibility to obtain. Strong background in child and adolescent development. Experience working in school settings preferred. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to create and implement intervention strategies. Comfortable supporting diverse student populations across elementary, middle, and high school levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify students' social and emotional needs. Develop and deliver individual and group counseling sessions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and monitor behavior intervention plans. Provide crisis intervention and support when needed. Engage families and connect them with community resources. Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines.
