Job Summary:
As a Family Housing Case Manager, you will provide site-based case management services and housing intervention to families and individuals experiencing homelessness in Big Lake and Elk River. In this role you will work with families and individuals to improve the quality of individual lives, strengthen family functioning, and educate for more effective community living.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Services or equivalent experience in Human Services field preferred. Valid driver's license. At least two years of experience in providing direct or indirect social services required. Knowledge of counseling theory and techniques - chemical dependency treatment and physical or sexual abuse treatment is preferred. Knowledge of Harm Reduction and Housing First Model. Ability to work independently. Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Strong organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, positively, and professionally with participants, providers, family members, and others. Able to promote a positive, supportive, and collaborative atmosphere. Previous experience working with low-income families and those experiencing homelessness preferred. Social Work license preferred. Training in working with low-income families and those who are homeless preferred. Knowledge of related issues in chemical dependency, mental health, parenting, sex trafficking, and domestic violence preferred.
