Job Profile Summary Overview The Social Worker is responsible for providing services to terminally ill patient in their residences; under physician orders. The Social Worker assists in meeting the psychosocial needs of the patient and his/her caregivers, enabling patients to achieve optimal level of comfort. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values and Mercy Service Standards.
Position Details:
Location Mercy Hospital Stoddard 1200 North One Mile Road Dexter, MO 63841 Hours/Schedule Part-Time (20-hrs per week)
Qualifications Education:
Bachelors degree in Social Work required.
Licensure:
Experience:
Minimum of one years experience in a health care setting with Hospice experience preferred. Experience with issues related to bereavement and the terminally ill patient preferred.
Certifications:
Other:
Good oral and written communication skills; Good organizational skills. Must be a licensed driver. Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
