Job Description

Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary St. Bridget of Kildare Catholic School is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Extended Care Aide to support students participating in the school's Extended Care Program. The Extended Care Aide provides supervision and care for students before and/or after the regular school day, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that reflects the values and mission of Catholic education. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, demonstrates patience and professionalism, and is committed to fostering a positive atmosphere where students feel welcomed, respected, and supported.

Job Responsibilities Provide active supervision of students participating in the Extended Care Program. Ensure the safety, well-being, and security of all students at all times. Monitor student attendance, arrivals, dismissals, and parent/guardian pick-up procedures. Enforce school and Extended Care Program rules and behavioral expectations consistently and fairly. Respond appropriately to student needs, illnesses, injuries, and emergencies in accordance with school policies and procedures. Assist with planning, organizing, and facilitating age-appropriate activities, games, crafts, and recreational opportunities. Supervise homework and quiet study periods, providing guidance and encouragement as needed. Support indoor and outdoor activities while maintaining a safe environment. Assist with snack distribution and cleanup following program guidelines. Prepare and maintain activity areas and supplies. Job Requirements Ability to work effectively with children of various ages. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
