Afternoon and Summer Programs Coordinator Responsibilities:
Coordinate Afternoon Club operations for a small independent school located on a beautiful 46-acre campus that houses 3 different ecosystems. Plan and lead after school activities for Kindergarten through 5th grade students Monday through Friday, 2:00-5:00. Support structured and unstructured play; establish authentic relationships with each afternoon club student; encourage reflection after the school day; continue to uphold Wild Oak's culture and guiding principles of: 1. Secure Connections Are the Foundation Children thrive when they feel safe, seen, and valued. We build strong, trusting relationships between students, educators, and families to create the emotional foundation for joyful learning and personal growth. 2. Integrated, Developmentally Appropriate Curriculum Our curriculum honors how children grow. It weaves together disciplines in meaningful, age-appropriate ways—meeting students where they are and inspiring them to stretch toward what's possible. 3. Real-World Experiences Root Us Authentic, hands-on experiences connect learning to life. By engaging with the world beyond the classroom, students develop a strong sense of belonging and responsibility within their community. 4. Individualized, Research-Based Assessment We assess students as whole people, not just test-takers. Our practices are personalized, strengths-based, and grounded in the latest educational research—focusing on growth, not comparison. 5. Children Are Nurtured as Their Authentic Selves Each child brings a unique story, voice, and way of being in the world. We create space for students to show up fully, feel accepted, and become the truest versions of themselves. 6. Community Partnerships Are Vital We believe in collective care. Through strong, reciprocal partnerships with families and the broader community, we create a learning environment that is sustainable, inclusive, and expansive. June-Early August is a full time opportunity to direct and facilitate Wild Oak Roots Summer Camp.
