EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Responsibilities:

The primary purpose of the LINKS Coordinator is to provide support for those children between the ages of thirteen to twenty-one that have been in the foster care system and qualify for LINKS Services as they work toward independence. This will include identifying those children, maintaining a log, assessing their independent living plan & goals, and monitoring the financial resources for the program. It will require working closely with the team foster care workers who also have children in their caseloads within the age range of services. This role involves delivering LINKS Transitional Services to young adults aged 18 to 21 who were under the agency's care on their 18th birthday and are either currently discharged or set to be discharged within 60 days from the agency's planning responsibility. The LINKS Coordinator will play a key role in facilitating activities designed to help participants acquire and sustain essential self-sufficiency skills. The LINKS Coordinator not only fulfills the responsibilities associated with the LINKS program but is also tasked with managing a caseload of children and teenagers who are under the legal custody and placement of social services.
