Job Description

St George's Episcopal Memorial Church is seeking part-time Children and Youth Ministry Coordinator who is a caring, organized, and enthusiastic individual to coordinate and lead our Children's and Youth's Faith Formation Ministry. This position centers on continuing our Godly Play program and offers the opportunity to nurture the spiritual growth of children and youth and help build meaningful faith formation opportunities for young people in a welcoming, loving, and Christ-centered environment. Working collaboratively with the Pastor, Elected Leadership, volunteers, and families, the Children and Youth Ministry Coordinator will oversee weekly programming, support and recruit volunteers, and help foster meaningful opportunities for children and youth to experience God's love through worship, storytelling, play, and community. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and oversee children's and youth programs that align with the organization's mission and values, including religious education, youth groups, retreats, and outreach events. Provide mentorship, spiritual guidance, and support to young members through one-on-one mentoring sessions, group activities, and pastoral care. Coordinate volunteer recruitment, training, and management to ensure safe and effective program delivery; foster a team-oriented environment among volunteers and staff. Collaborate with clergy, parents, teachers, and community partners to develop age-appropriate curricula that incorporate religious teachings, social-emotional learning, and life skills. Lead outreach efforts to engage families and the broader community in faith-based activities; promote youth engagement in church events and mission work. Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to religious organization childcare experience; maintain accurate records of attendance, participation, and program outcomes. Organize special events such as holiday celebrations, religious festivals, service projects, and fundraising initiatives that support youth programs.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
