Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Worker to join our team, committed to supporting families and children through challenging circumstances. In this vital role, you will provide direct assistance, guidance, and advocacy to promote child welfare, strengthen family units, and ensure safety. Your energetic approach will help empower families to overcome obstacles, navigate complex systems such as child protective services and family law, and access essential resources. Duties Collaborate with families to assess their needs and develop tailored support plans that promote stability and well-being Provide crisis intervention and crisis management to de-escalate situations involving behavioral health or family conflicts Advocate for children within child protective services, ensuring their safety and best interests are prioritized Facilitate communication between families, social workers, legal professionals, and community resources to coordinate care and support Assist families with navigating child welfare systems, including understanding rights under family law and accessing childcare services Conduct home visits to monitor progress, offer behavioral health support, and reinforce positive parenting strategies Manage conflict resolution efforts within families by applying conflict management techniques and behavioral health knowledge Requirements Proven experience working with children or in social work environments that involve child welfare or family support services Knowledge of child protective services procedures, child welfare policies, and family law regulations Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations calmly and effectively Excellent conflict management abilities to mediate disputes and foster positive communication within families Familiarity with behavioral health principles relevant to children and families facing mental health challenges Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams Compassionate attitude with a commitment to advocating for vulnerable children and their families This role is an excellent fit for motivated individuals eager to create positive change. Pay:
$40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
