About Us:
East Bay Educational Testing Agency (EBETA) is committed to conducting up to date, research-based, Psycho-educational child study team evaluations and providing school-based counseling services. EBETA services public school districts, private schools, and provides second opinions.
Job Brief:
•Contracted position- 5 days/week, 26-27 school year•The School Social Worker will serve as a member of the Child Study Team and educational consultant to teachers, principals, and parents. Per Diem and/or report only determined by need. The School Social Worker will be responsible in part for the determination and classification for students requiring special education and related services. Responsibilities Serve on the child study team. Responsible for the identification, evaluation, and determination of eligibility for special education, and if appropriate develop an Individual Education Program. Create comprehensive social history reports Serve as a consultant for the socio-emotional needs of students Provide community mental health services to families in need Collaborate with other specialists and agencies in the implementation of classified scholar programs in the school. Serve as the primary case manager for classified scholars and maintains appropriate case records. Coordinates the development, monitoring, and evaluation of individual education program. Coordinates annual reviews and the reevaluation processes. Provide counseling services as needed for students Prior experience conducting threat assessments To Perform all duties related to the child study team function as assigned by the Supervisor/ Director. Minimum Requirements A minimum of a Master's degree in social work Experience working in school settings Required criminal history background check, and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status. Knowledge of NJ Special Education Code Experience with individual and group counseling with children and adolescents. Experience with case management responsibilities (preferred) Experience with IEP software (Frontline, Realtime Etc.)
