TBD, depending on experience About Parkinson's Wellness Foundation (PWF) The Parkinson's Wellness Foundation is an innovative, first-of-its-kind New York-based nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with Parkinson's disease through group fitness classes, education, mental wellness support, and community building. We are a small, mission-driven team working to create inclusive, life-enhancing programs-and we are growing. Position Summary The Parkinson's Wellness Foundation is seeking a collaborative Social Worker to help build and lead the continued growth of wellness and support services at The Bandeen Center. This role will lead the development of PWF's Social Work Program while providing clinical support, resources, and programming for individuals living with Parkinson's disease and their care partners. As part of a growing organization, this role may collaborate with the PWF team at times to establish key initiatives, including community outreach and educational & community program curation. This position is ideal for a thoughtful, experienced clinician or program leader who is energized by innovation, enjoys developing systems and building programs from the ground up, values collaboration, and is excited to help shape a first-of-its-kind center. Key Responsibilities Social Work Program Development, Clinical Services & Oversight Design, develop, implement, and refine social work programming, including support groups, workshops, classes, and educational lectures for individuals living with Parkinson's disease and their care partners. Provide clinical social work support through weekly in-person support groups at The Bandeen Center, offering education, connection, and guidance for members and care partners. Provide case management services, including individualized support, resource navigation, referrals, and care coordination for individuals living with Parkinson's disease and their care partners. Deliver lectures or workshops on topics related to Parkinson's disease, mental health, caregiving, and holistic Wellness Evaluate program effectiveness and participant experience, using feedback and outcomes to guide continuous improvement and the growth of the Social Work Program. Contribute to other educational offerings that foster community connection and professional dialogue Community Outreach Support the development and implementation of PWF's strategic outreach plan to increase class enrollment, event participation, and membership growth. Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and referral partners to expand awareness of The Bandeen Center. Represent PWF at community events, presentations, and outreach opportunities to strengthen partnerships and promote our mission. Help establish outreach systems and processes that support the organization's long-term growth. Track outreach efforts and recommend new strategies to expand community awareness and increase referrals. Educational & Community Program Curation Work collaboratively with the PWF team to develop and expand educational and wellness programming that reflects the needs and interests of individuals living with Parkinson's disease and their care partners. Cultivate relationships with qualified instructors, healthcare professionals, and community partners to facilitate lectures, workshops, support groups, and specialty movement classes. Research emerging programs, evidence-based practices, and community interests to continuously enhance and diversify PWF's programming. Collaborate with the Programs & Operations team to plan and coordinate the implementation of new programs, ensuring a seamless experience for members and presenters. Evaluate programming through member feedback and participation trends, making recommendations for future offerings and program growth.
