This position focuses on providing specialized social work services within an educational setting near Carlsbad, NM. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution State licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent Previous experience in a school setting is strongly preferred Solid understanding of student support services, behavioral interventions, and crisis response Outstanding communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to advocate effectively for students and work alongside multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized support plans for students facing social, emotional, or behavioral issues Provide short-term counseling, targeted interventions, and crisis management as needed Facilitate communication between school staff, families, and community agencies to ensure coordinated care Lead or participate in group sessions, workshops, and professional development activities Support implementation of school-wide initiatives aimed at promoting mental health, inclusivity, and a safe school climate Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and district policy This contract role presents an excellent chance to expand your experience and impact while working closely with diverse students and professionals.
