Home Visitor for First Born of Northern New Mexico (FBNNM) Do you love working with children and families? Looking for a change from the typical office or school job? No day is the same when you are a home visitor! Working with FBNNM you will educate, guide, and empower families in Northern New Mexico. Apply at First Born of Northern New Mexico to learn more and make an impact in your community! Job Description Home visitors connect families with educational resources and community support. First Born of Northern New Mexico works with families in San Miguel, Mora, and Harding counties. FBNNM supports expectant parents and families with children under the age of five with research-based curriculum and building nurturing relationships. Some of the ways FBNNM supports families includes prenatal support, childbirth preparation, breastfeeding support, infant care and feeding, welcoming fatherhood, infant/toddler growth and development, and Circle of Security parenting classes. Home visiting provides relationship-centered and information-based coaching to parents about many aspects of early childhood education and development. First Born of Northern New Mexico follows CDC protocols to take proper precautions which protect home visitors and families from the
COVID-19
virus. Minimal Requirements BA in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Human Services, Counseling (Associates Degree may be accepted in some cases) Self-Directed worker with a team mindset Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with children and families Excellent organizational and time management skills Computer skills such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom Meetings Current NM Driver's License with reliable transportation (Must be willing to travel 80% of the time) Pass a Criminal Background Check Full Time availability Preferred Home Visiting experience Experience working with prenatal families and families with children age 0-5 Database entry knowledge
Bilingual Starting Hourly Wage:
$17.00/hr Position will be open until July 15, 2026 . Applicants that do not meet the minimum requirements need not apply.
