You'll collaborate closely with teachers and staff to address academic, behavioral, and emotional needs, ensuring every student has an opportunity to thrive.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution Valid state licensure or eligibility for school social work certification Previous experience in a K-12 school setting is highly valued Strong communication, organization, and advocacy skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Commitment to cultural sensitivity and inclusive practices
Responsibilities:
Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with students to support social, emotional, and behavioral development Develop and implement intervention plans in collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families Assess student needs and connect them with appropriate school and community resources Provide crisis intervention and support as needed Maintain accurate case records and prepare reports in accordance with school policies Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights to the development of student plans Offer guidance and workshops for families and school staff on relevant social/emotional topics
