K Family Child Care Network Family Worker Department:
Early Childhood Location:
Queens, New York Reports to: 3K Family Child Care Network Educational DirectorRESPONSIBILITIES
Support family services under the guidance of the Network Director and Educational Director. Support family activities under the guidance of the Network Director and Educational Director. Responsible for addressing individual family needs, providing referrals and resources, and designing monthly parent engagement activities in collaboration with the Educational Director and Educational Specialist. Responsible for student recruitment, student applications, delivering student application to Department of Education's Field Office. Responsible for Data in MySchools System.QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Bachelor's Degree Parent Engagement Skills.BEST PRACTICE REQUIREMENTS
Be team player. Have a strong sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics present among staff and clients within our organization. Possess a strong belief in people's ability to grow and change; forge a mutually respectful partnership with persons served and their families. Ability to set limits and maintain helping role of practitioner and to intervene appropriately.
