Job Description

Position Summary:
The LEAPS (Learning & Enrichment After-School Program Supports) Coordinator plays a vital role in the After-school Program by supporting youth, families, and professionals through coaching and guidance. Their focus includes life and social skills, interpersonal relationships, academics, Positive Youth Development (PYD), and connecting families to community resources. The coordinator ensures ongoing communication by maintaining bi-weekly in-person contact with each youth's family and supplementing with weekly phone, text, or email updates.
Responsibilities:
Conduct and intake on families and assess their strengths and weaknesses Trained in Positive Parenting Program (Triple "P") Complete all School Age Child Care Trainings and be familiar with School Age Child Care regulations Work with school Community Coordinators and other school district leaders Plan events for families Schedule home visits with families, write visitation plan, schedule transportation for school meetings and other events for the family to attend. Maintain face-to-face communication with at least one family member for each youth bi-weekly; weekly contact can occur by phone, text, or email Develops transition plans with and for the youth, including education/vocational/life skills Good verbal and written communication, problem solving, and organizational skills. Must be able to use laptop/desktop computers for consistent documentation and conduct surveys.
Requirements Education:
Associate's Degree required Bachelor's Degree preferred ​
Experience:
