Where NYU Langone Health Long Island/Mineola Mineola, NY, United States Description NYU Langone Health Long Island/Mineola Inpatient Palliative Care Social Worker We are seeking an exceptional Inpatient Palliative Care Social Worker to join a highly expert, high-functioning interdisciplinary team dedicated to outstanding care for patients with serious illness and their families. Our team is defined by a culture of uncompromising care quality, strong patient advocacy, clinician integrity, and deep mutual respect across disciplines. We are a truly egalitarian interdisciplinary team, where each member's expertise is valued and collaboration is central to our work. The social worker in this role will serve as a behavior health expert on the team, providing expert psychosocial assessment, counseling, and support for hospitalized patients with serious illness and their families. The successful candidate will be a skilled clinician who thrives in complex clinical environments, values interdisciplinary partnership, and is committed to advancing the field of palliative care through education and mentorship. The successful candidate will report to the Chief of the Division of Palliative Medicine and the Senior Administrative Manager of NYU Palliative Medicine Associates.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
Current licensure or license eligibility as applicable
Specialty training or certification in palliative social work required
Experience in hospital-based social work, serious illness care, or palliative care preferred
Strong interest and expertise in teaching fellows, residents, and medical students highly desired
