Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to develop personalized treatment plans. Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, grief counseling, and behavior management techniques. Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients experiencing acute mental health or behavioral emergencies, ensuring safety and stabilization. Provide specialized services including child & youth therapy, autism spectrum disorder interventions, addiction counseling, PTSD care, and gender issues counseling. Maintain accurate clinical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations, clinical documentation standards, and medical terminology requirements within EMR/EHR systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management efforts to coordinate care for clients with co-occurring disorders or disabilities. Engage in ongoing research and data collection to inform evidence-based practices and improve service delivery outcomes. Skills Extensive experience in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, and mental health assessments across inpatient and outpatient settings. Proficiency in motivational interviewing, applied behavior analysis, behavioral therapy, and trauma-focused therapy techniques. Strong background working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, and those experiencing PTSD or chronic pain. Skilled in crisis management, crisis intervention, behavior management strategies, and medical documentation standards including ICD coding. Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and experience delivering services via telehealth modalities. Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health conditions and familiarity with HIPAA compliance for patient confidentiality. Ability to develop treatment plans aligned with clinical ethical guidelines while maintaining thorough clinical documentation. Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach tailored to diverse populations including pediatrics and individuals with disabilities.
