Job Description

Youth Workers will report directly to the Program Director. He/she will oversee a group of children and will be responsible for the overall care and safety of the children. He/she will be responsible for assisting the Activity Specialist and Group Leader with ensuring supplies are available and retrieving all required supplies, as needed. In addition, he/she will actively participate in the activity by assisting participants. Core Qualifications  Must be 17.5 years old or older.  Experience working with children, experience working in an after-school/summer camp environment preferred.  Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.  Availability between 2:00pm

Responsibilities  Arrive to work on time.  Sign in upon arrival and sign out upon leaving.  Wear your staff shirt as the outer garment for the duration of time you are on the clock (no sweatshirts or other outer garments covering your staff shirt).  Ensure the safety of all program participants.  Assist with snack, homework, and other activities as necessary.  Assist Activity Specialists and Group Leaders with the implementation of the lessons and activities.  Assist Activity Specialists and Group Leaders with classroom/behavioral management.  Provide constant supervision to assigned groups of children.  Motivate and maintain active involvement of program participants.  Ensure all supplies are retrieved and available before the start of all activities.  Ensure cleanup of all classrooms/areas used for activities.  Ensure classrooms and activity areas are cleaned and organized after use.  Attend all required meetings and trainings.  Complete (by the deadline) all monthly trainings (CCEI, ECETP, etc) as assigned.  Any other job-related duties, as assigned, by the Program Director and/or
