Youth Mentor

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Mentor to join our team. In this role, you will provide guidance, support, and education to young individuals, helping them navigate challenges and develop essential life skills. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a passion for fostering positive relationships that promote personal growth and development. Responsibilities Mentor youth by providing emotional support and guidance in various settings. Educate young individuals on important life skills, including conflict resolution and decision-making. Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to create individualized support plans. Assist children with special needs or disabilities in achieving their personal goals. Facilitate group activities that promote social interaction and teamwork. Monitor behavioral health and provide appropriate interventions when necessary. Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress for each mentee. Advocate for the welfare of children and ensure a safe environment for all participants. Skills Strong mentoring abilities with a focus on educating youth effectively. Experience working with children in various capacities, including childcare or educational settings. Knowledge of special education practices and techniques for supporting individuals with disabilities. Background in social work or child welfare is highly desirable. Familiarity with behavioral health principles and conflict management strategies. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with youth, families, and team members. Ability to build rapport quickly and foster trust in mentoring relationships.

Requirements:
