reviews $17•$19 an hour•Full-time Who are you? You are a caring professional who is dedicated to providing mental health and/or substance abuse services. You have a passion for making a difference in your local community by providing care coordinator services through development, coordination, and implementation of evidence-based interventions, opioid and other addiction treatments, and programming for incarcerated individuals. Under the guidance of the Criminal Justice Program Supervisor, you will serve as a client advocate, acting in their best interest at all times working within the jail, as well as in the community. You will attend treatment plan development and review meetings. You will also coordinate and monitor appropriateness of all services, examine and recommend new programs, and provide assistance in crisis situations to stabilize your clients. Services are delivered individually and in groups within the Hancock County Justice Center, with a strong focus on transition and reentry planning to promote recovery, reduce recidivism, and ensure linkage to community-based services upon release. Working in a team based environment is important to you. While working with the treatment team, you will maintain a strengths-based approach as you work with your clients and families to assist with the retention of dignity and the development of positive qualities in the client.
You have:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related field, with a Bachelor's degree preferred A valid driver's license and ability to maintain auto insurance, as the position is required to transport clients in your own personal vehicle will be required within your local community CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain one Ability to regularly use various computer apps including Microsoft Office, our HRIS, EHR and other online systems, with multiple logins often simultaneously. Willingness to submit background check, drug screening and fingerprinting
Preferably:
Licenses such as SWA, CDCA, or LSW Previous relevant experience working with individuals that have a primary mental health diagnosis and/or co-occurring disorders. Who are we?
