Position:
We are seeking a professional to work with families, children and expectant parents in Central Ohio on their adoption journeys. Duties include completing foster/adoptive homestudies and preparing families for adoptive placements. Once children are placed with families, the role transitions to one of support, encouragement and continued education on effective parenting strategies. Work with expectant parents will assist them in making a knowledgeable and secure plan for their children, whether that involves adoption or parenting. Detailed case records, progress notes, and documentation in compliance with organizational policies and legal standards is essential. Requirements Bachelors Degree in Social Work or a related field Minimum of 2 years experience working with families and children LSW or LPC preferred Proficient in Microsoft Word Self motivated, excellent time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage children, families, and community partners Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, professionalism, and transparency
