What they do

A Family, School, or General Social Worker provides specialized assistance to vulnerable families and children. Intervenes in crisis situations; evaluates individual and family needs, helps clients get access to health care, mental health care or social services such as housing assistance. Advocates for clients and provides follow up visits. May work with teachers, parents and school administrators to help students improve academically and deal with social issues such as bullying.

Job Description

Cadence Care Network has an immediate opening for a Foster Care Therapist to provide face-to-face individual and family psychotherapy services to youth and families in office, home, and/or community as designated in client's individual service plan. This candidate will develop, complete, implement, and review individual service plans for clients as required by Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services rules and Cadence Care Network policy.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in social work or counseling. Licensed by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage & Family Therapist Board as LSW, LISW, LPC or LPCC. Valid Driver License, Auto Insurance and the provision of a vehicle for work purposes. Pass preemployment drug screening and ODJFS required criminal records check.
