Position Purpose In alignment with Title I, Part A requirements under ESSA Section 1116 and Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) guidelines, the District seeks to engage a Title I Parent and Family Engagement Coordinator to support compliance, documentation, and meaningful family engagement across Title I schools. This role will strengthen districtwide parent engagement systems while ensuring full adherence to federal and state requirements. Scope of Responsibilities The coordinator will work under the direction of the Federal Programs Director to: 1. Ensure Title I Compliance Support development and annual review of District and School Parent & Family Engagement Policies and School-Parent Compacts Prepare documentation required for PDE monitoring and audits. Coordinate annual Title I meetings and maintain evidence of stakeholder engagement. 2. Manage Required Parent Notifications Develop, distribute, and document federally required communications, including: Parents' Right-to-Know letters. Annual Title I notifications Complaint procedures Other ESSA-required notices Ensure translation and website posting of required documents. 3. Parent Surveys & Data Collection Develop and administer annual Title I Parent Surveys Analyze and summarize results. Provide reports to district leadership and the Board, as needed. Maintain documentation of stakeholder input to guide program improvement. 4. Family Outreach & Communication Develop quarterly Title I newsletters. Support outreach efforts to increase participation in engagement events. Assist with planning and documentation of family engagement activities. 5. Website & Public Transparency Maintain Title I/Federal Programs webpage. Ensure required documents and survey summaries are posted and accessible. Deliverables Annual Parent & Family Engagement Survey and summary report Required Title I parent notifications. Updated engagement policies and compacts Quarterly newsletters Documented evidence for PDE compliance Updated Federal Programs webpage. Term The agreement will align with the 20262027 grant year (July 1 June 30) and will be funded through Title I, Part A Parent and Family Engagement set-aside funds. Qualifications Profile To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary. Bachelor's degree in education, Public Administration, Communications, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field or working towards a degree. Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a K12 educational setting, preferably with federally funded programs. Experience planning, coordinating, and documenting parent and family engagement activities. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse families, community members, and school personnel. Strong organizational, project management, and recordkeeping skills with attention to detail. Experience preparing reports, maintaining compliance documentation, and meeting grant deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Google Workspace, and website content management systems. Ability to analyze survey data and prepare reports that support continuous program improvement. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment. Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with the ability to travel between district buildings as needed. Ability to obtain and maintain all required Pennsylvania clearances, including: Act 34 Criminal History Clearance Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114) Act 168Employment History Review Mandated Reporter Training Certification Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Public Administration, Social Work, or a related fi eld. Experience administering Title I, Title II, Title III, Title IV, or other federal education grants. Experience coordinating districtwide family engagement initiatives. Experience developing newsletters, websites, parent communications, and public-facing materials. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Experience facilitating workshops, stakeholder meetings, and public presentations. Familiarity with federal grant compliance, documentation requirements, and continuousimprovement planning.
