Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling role supporting students' social, emotional, and academic growth in a vibrant school setting. Two full-time contract positions are open for experienced School Social Workers, serving the middle and elementary school levels. The assignment runs from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with a consistent Monday-Friday schedule (8:30AM-4PM), totaling 37.5 hours per week. Direct, onsite engagement is required, allowing you to make a visible impact within the school community. Candidates should bring proven experience in school-based social work, ideally within urban environments. You'll work closely with staff and students to develop intervention strategies, foster a positive school climate, and connect families to essential resources.
Qualifications:
Active MSW license in Pennsylvania, as required Must have either a valid PA School Social Worker Educational Specialist certificate or be qualified for/holding an emergency permit, be a LSW or LCSW, and enrolled in a PDE-approved social worker program Previous experience as a School Social Worker Ability to complete/obtain all PA clearances Comfortable navigating the unique needs and opportunities of an urban school community Strong collaborative and communication skills Able to participate in Zoom interviews prior to selection
