After School CARES Worker

CARES Aide Part Time Visitation BVM School is accepting applications for a part-time CARES aide for our after-school program. The CARES aide is responsible for supervising and engaging with school-aged children in a fun, safe, and enriching afterschool program. This role involves planning and leading activities, assisting with homework, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants, and maintaining a positive and supportive atmosphere. The ideal candidate is patient, energetic, reliable, and passionate about working with children. The position is from 2:45 - 5:30pm. Experience working with this age group is preferred.

Duties:

Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and security during all program activities, including indoor and outdoor play. Enforce program rules and safety policies consistently. Ensure a clean and organized environment for children. Assist children with homework and provide academic support as needed. Introduce new ideas and creative ways to engage children in learning and play. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and effective program. Address and report any concerns regarding a child's behavior, well-being, or development to the program supervisor. Assist with the setup and cleanup of program spaces, including preparing snacks and sanitizing equipment Attend and participate in all required staff meetings and training sessions. Follow all licensing and organizational policies and procedures. Provide a safe and developmentally appropriate CARES program Establish and maintain a safe educational environment consistent with instructional goals Follow all school and Keystone STARS licensing policies and procedures

Requirements:

High School Diploma 2 years experience working with children. Updated clearances Pennsylvania State Police Background Check Child Abuse Clearance FBI fingerprinting (through DHS) Candidate must have all required clearances and must attend the Protecting God's Children class provided by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Archdiocese of Philadelphia application also required for employment. All Keystone STARS background checks and training will be required. Updated clearances (Pennsylvania State Police Background Check, Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprinting) will be required as well as other documentation if the position is offered.
