We currently seek a Senior Manager of Women's Services that will lead a team of staff members and volunteers to serve Light of Life's female guests and their children. This leader oversees all existing WomenChildren's programs, keeping them equipped and at capacity. The position reports to the Director of Emergency Services . JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Exercises command authority over all case management and care of Women an Children Shelter guests. Ensures that the Shelter team provides Christian hospitality to all guests and informs them of Light of Life policies and procedures. Ensures that the Shelter team performs intake and assessments to determine needs and fit into Light of Life programming or other external programs. Builds relationships and collaborates with other teams within LOL (e.g. Outreach, WomenChildren's Program, Women's Shelter) and external resources to provide comprehensive services in the continuum of care to guests. Facilitates or coordinates delivery of appropriate content to client groups such as 12-Step, Parenting, etc. Ensures that care plans are effectively developed and documented for all guests. Continuously seeks to improve services and programming, becoming aware of existing and potential issues that may contribute to relapse and actively addresses and prevents those issues. Maintains feedback systems to help guests gain resources and issues resolution. Leads the development and supervision of the Women's Shelter and Outreach teams. Provides orientation and ongoing training and support to team members to effectively perform all areas of service, including case management, de-escalation, and implementing all processes and procedures. Actively learns, practices, and models case management for the team. Maintains team's work schedule and leads team meetings. Fills in for shift vacancies as needed and remains on call to address emergent issues as they arise. This position requires non-traditional hours, which include evening hours, at least 2-3 days per week, to assist with staff support and coaching. Due to the nature of the role, working over 40 hours a week is expected. Upholds the safety and security of guests, volunteers, and staff within the shelter building. De-escalates conflict involving guests. Ensures proper documentation for all incidents. Exercises command authority over the accurate and timely data entry of shelter guest demographics into databases such as MissionTracker and others. Exercises input authority with Program services. Exercises input authority with the safety committee to evaluate safety concerns. Other duties, responsibilities and activities as assigned. Due to the interface within in a Christian Community, all staff at Light of Life are required to: Walk alongside clients and co-workers as a disciple of Christ, sharing the Gospel through actions and words. Establish mutual trust while supporting a safe, authentic environment. Exhibit love for Jesus Christ, the staff, and the clients. Help guests make choices that are justifiably in their eternal best interest. Practice stewardship of all resources. Model personal responsibility, accountability, timely reporting, and a growth-oriented lifestyle.SKILLS:
Effective leadership and decision making. Manages multiple tasks and projects concurrently. Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to learn software applications. Calmly navigates crisis situations, including de-escalation and resolving conflict. Create staff work schedules to optimize coverage and effectiveness. Knowledgeable of adult education practices and relapse prevention groups. Excellent administrative and communication skills required.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in sociology, psychology, human services, social work, or related area. At least five years social services work experience. At least five years supervisory experience. Five years of case management experience, preferred. Knowledge of addiction and mental health issues, including relapse prevention groups.
