Job Description

  • Qualified candidates are eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus
  • Job Summary The Family Preservation Supervisor is responsible for supervising the CaseManager and Family Support Worker dyads. The Supervisor is responsible for case management best practices, in conjunction with the Director, and oversees the day-today activities associated with providing case management services. Essential Functions
  • Supervises dyads and performs monthly case supervision and monitoring in accordance with DCCCA policy and applicable laws; or supervises dyads and delivers culturally competent therapeutic and case management services to children and families consistent with the evidence-based practice models and FPS policies and procedures
  • Accepts referrals and makes case assignments
  • Delivers culturally competent services using a strengths-based approach to staff consistent with evidence-based practice models
  • Reviews and monitors on-going contractual FPS policies, procedures, practices, and EBP requirement
  • Provides monthly direct supervision and case review to ensure the integrity of service delivery and reporting
  • Tracks staff compliance to meet DCF timelines; Ensures IFM (48-hour meeting) assessments, worker-child visits, weekly visits, case plans, court reports, and case closure are met
  • Works with Director in hiring, disciplining, and terminating FPS staff
  • In partnership with DCF, determines the client's readiness for transition to case closure or community-based referrals
  • Serves as a liaison with community agencies, universities, DCF, and the judicial system to represent DCCCA's programs, philosophy and mission
  • Attends court hearings and client in-home visits as necessary
  • Provides 24-hour, 7 days a week support to staff and remains available during crisis situations
  • Approves weekly timesheets for staff
  • Submits monthly credit card receipts and documentation
  • Requires the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Job may require the employee to be able to regularly drive to various DCCCA locations and other business locations throughout the day or night as required Supervisory Functions
  • Reads, interprets, and applies governance, operational, and department/program policies appropriately.
  • Adheres to and supports all governance, operational, and department/program policies.
  • Conducts interviews and assists with selection of new employees, in coordination with Human Resources.
  • Oversees the onboarding of new hires and ensures adequate on-the-job training is provided, including training on program policy, procedure, expectations, and applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Utilizes and supports appropriate retention strategies.
  • Assists in agency recruitment efforts by referring and recruiting applicants to the agency.
  • Strives to build a strong sense of team within the department and implements trauma-informed care supervision practices as appropriate.
  • Ensures frontline staff are provided with appropriate support.
  • Holds regular one-on-ones with employees, in accordance with policy.
  • Provides direct supervision to assigned staff individually and as a group, at regular and appropriate intervals.
  • Effectively trains, coaches, develops, shadows, evaluates, disciplines, and terminates employees, with the goal of building and retaining a strong team.
  • Evaluates employee performance utilizing the agency's performance management system
  • Maintains regular contact with supervisor
  • Engages in ongoing professional development and training.
  • Approves timesheets and expenses for employees, ensuring reimbursements follow policy standards, such as receipts being included.
  • Represents DCCCA at events, presentations, and both internal and external meetings.
  • Maintains good working relationships and facilitates productive and positive communication among factions.
  • Maintains confidentiality using sound professional judgement.
  • Creates a safe environment by performing all required security and safety procedures.
  • Upholds a Drug Free Work Place, supporting a safe and drug free environment conducive to enabling and strengthening ongoing recovery.
  • Job may require the employee to be able to regularly drive to various DCCCA locations and other business locations throughout the day including early morning or evening hours Education, Experience, and Licensure
  • Master's degree in social work or related field is required
  • Must have two or three years of prior experience in behavioral health or children/family services.
  • Two- or three-years supervisory experience is preferred
  • Master's level license by BSRB is required
  • Must possess a valid state Driver's License, in force automobile liability insurance, and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organization's insurability standard as defined by DCCCA policy.
