About NoCo Kids Thrive Northern Colorado Kids Thrive is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring every young child in our community has access to quality early childhood experiences. We manage significant public and private investments that support families, early childhood educators, and child care providers across Larimer County. Position Summary The Family & Provider Navigator helps families, child care providers, educators, and community partners understand and access NoCo Kids Thrive programs and other early childhood resources. Serving as a welcoming and trusted point of contact, the Navigator provides information, technical assistance, referrals, warm handoffs, and follow-up. This role works across NoCo Kids Thrive teams to make services easier to understand and navigate while identifying barriers and opportunities to improve the family and provider experience. This position is ideal for someone who is relational, organized, responsive, culturally humble, and able to explain complex information clearly. Key Responsibilities Help families and providers understand NoCo Kids Thrive programs, requirements, timelines, and next steps. Provide navigation related to child care, tuition assistance, Universal Preschool, CCCAP, workforce supports, grants, salary subsidies, quality improvement, and consultation services. Connect families and providers with the appropriate NoCo Kids Thrive team, community partner, or public resource. Provide warm handoffs and follow up to ensure questions are answered and referrals are completed. Build trusted relationships with families, providers, educators, and community partners throughout Larimer County. Conduct outreach and represent NoCo Kids Thrive at community events, meetings, trainings, and other gatherings. Identify barriers related to language, technology, documentation, communication, trust, or system complexity. Coordinate with internal teams to provide accurate, connected, and timely support. Track inquiries, referrals, follow-up needs, barriers, and outcomes while maintaining confidentiality. Share recurring questions and community feedback to help improve programs, communications, and access. The Navigator provides guidance and connection but does not make eligibility, funding, payment, grant, licensing, or compliance decisions.
