POSITION SUMMARY
The Carino Home Visitor (HV) in the Carino Home Visiting Program plays a vital role in empowering families. Through evidence-based parenting education, the HV enhances parent-child interactions and supports families in understanding their child's development. This role also involves connecting families with community resources, promoting child well-being, and helping prevent adverse childhood experiences.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provide evidence-based parenting education approved by Home Visiting Standards to ensure high-quality service delivery. Develop and maintain Family Plans that comply with Home Visiting Standards, setting and monitoring short- and long-term family goals. Meet documentation requirements, service note deadlines, andCYFD/ECECD
Home Visiting Program standards. Offer parenting and child development education while assisting families in accessing necessary community resources. Provide services aligned with Home Visiting Standards, including: Standard 1: Program Participation Standard 2: Culturally Sensitive and Relevant Practices Standard 3: Relationship-Based Practices Standard 4: Family Goal Setting Standard 5: Curriculum and Program Implementation Standard 6: Program Management Systems Standard 7: Staffing and Supervision Standard 8: Community Engagement Standard 9: Data Management Maintain 80% or higher face-to-face contact with families (in-person, telehealth, or hybrid). Complete service notes and documentation per program standards. Recruit and retain families to meet caseload requirements. Conduct and participate in screenings, assessments, and goal monitoring. Assist families in identifying, accessing, and navigating available services. Facilitate smooth transition planning for children exiting the program. Ensure compliance with program training requirements and deadlines. Maintain a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and auto insurance for home visits.WHY CHOOSE APRENDAMOS?

Experience in evidence-based parenting education and home visiting services. Willingness to complete required certifications, including the Developmental Instruction Certificate and Infant Mental Health Endorsement within two years of hire. Knowledge of the Parents as Teachers curriculum (or willingness to be trained). 2 to 3 years of experience in home visiting or children's services (preferred). This is a Full Time position (40 hours per week)REQUIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a High School Diploma or a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Public Health, Family Child Science, or a related field. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred. Obtain Parents as Teachers curriculum certification (0-3 and 3-5 years). Strong computer and documentation skills. A dependable, detail-oriented team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Passion for our mission:

Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds (e.g., boxes, equipment) without assistance. Capability to stand and walk for extended periods, including moving around the workspace, performing tasks, and interacting with colleagues or customers. Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, and kneel to access various items, equipment, or workspaces as required. Aptitude to reach overhead, horizontally, and below waist level to retrieve and handle objects or materials. Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks continuously throughout the workday. Physical ability to move freely and quickly in various work environments, including navigating stairs, ramps, or uneven terrain if necessary.
