If you're passionate about making a difference and building bridges between cultures, we invite you to join our team as a Local Coordinator.
Role Overview:
As an STS Foundation Local Coordinator, you will serve as a mentor and advocate for international high school exchange students and their host families within your community. Reporting to a Regional Director, you'll recruit, support, and oversee volunteer host families and liaise with local high schools to ensure a seamless cultural exchange experience. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about working with people, building strong relationships, and making a meaningful difference in their community.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruit Host Families:
Actively promote the STS Foundation program in your community through social media, email marketing, press releases, and public service announcements.
Support Program Participants:
Serve as a mentor and advocate for exchange students and a key point of contact for host families and schools.
Foster Community Relationships:
Build and maintain strong relationships with host families, local schools, and community members to grow the cultural exchange program.
Promote Cultural Exchange:
Represent STS Foundation in your community and inspire others to embrace the benefits of international cultural exchange.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with Regional Coordinators and the National Director, leveraging tools, training, and resources provided by STS Foundation to achieve program goals.
Requirements:
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. A compassionate, understanding, and reliable individual who thrives on building relationships. Prior experience in cultural exchange or working with youth is a plus, but not required. Ideal candidate is, at minimum, 25 years of age.
Compensation:
Earn $1,100 per student placed and supported for one academic year.
