Job Description
Overview The Family Ministries Director is responsible for the development and implementation of effective Family Ministry programs and outreach activities to increase participation and spiritual growth of children, youth and families. This role provides an exciting opportunity for a motivated, responsible, and creative individual to positively impact the lives of children and their families. Overseeing Christian Education programs, providing pastoral care, and coordinating faith-based activities for children and youth (e.g. Youth Groups, mission trips, Christmas programs) to develop relationships with and to support the spiritual growth of children and youth. Responsibilities Facilitate Children's Ministry on the weekend and teach if necessary. Coordinate and encourage participation of children and youth in worship activities. Lead and facilitate family groups to build relationships. Recruit, train, and lead Volunteers to support programs and activities for children and youth. Support our youth and their families at community events and activities and make connections in the community to grow family ministry at the church. Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children and youth participating in church activities. Oversee Family Ministry budget Participate in worship, work effectively with other members of staff and of the congregation, and accept other duties as needed to support the overall mission of the church. Preferred Requirements Experience in community outreach Strong interpersonal and relationship skills Relates well with children, youth and families Thorough knowledge and ability to apply Christian scripture, teachings and principles BS or BA degree Experience working with and teaching children and youth This role offers an inspiring environment where your passion for faith-based education meets your dedication to nurturing families' spiritual well-being.
