Job Description

Job Responsibilities Answer incoming phone calls from drivers, school personnel, and the county transportation office. Coordinate and distribute daily transportation schedules and routes for drivers and aides. Monitor and respond to emails regarding student transportation, scheduling changes, and service requests. Maintain accurate attendance records and transportation data using spreadsheets. Prepare and process weekly invoices using Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks. Coordinate transportation coverage by arranging substitute drivers and aides when scheduling conflicts or call-outs occur. Respond to unexpected transportation issues throughout the day, making real-time decisions to ensure uninterrupted service. Communicate with schools, parents (when appropriate), drivers, aides, and county transportation staff to resolve scheduling and student transportation concerns. Review student transportation documentation, including IEP requirements, to ensure all required accommodations are in place. Coordinate the procurement and assignment of specialized transportation equipment, including safety restraints and child safety seats, based on student needs. Maintain organized transportation records and ensure compliance with county transportation requirements and student accommodations. Demonstrate strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change throughout the day.
