Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our dynamic team, committed to making a positive impact on individuals and families in need. In this vital role, you will provide essential social services, support high-risk populations, and advocate for vulnerable children and families. Your energetic approach will help foster resilience, promote well-being, and empower clients to overcome challenges. This paid position offers an opportunity to work with diverse communities, utilizing your expertise in child welfare, behavioral health, and crisis management to create meaningful change. Responsibilities Assess clients' needs through thorough interviews and evaluations, developing tailored care plans that address their unique circumstances. Provide crisis intervention and crisis management support during emergencies, ensuring safety and stability for clients facing urgent situations. Facilitate communication between clients, families, schools, healthcare providers, and legal entities to coordinate comprehensive services. Assist children and families with navigating child protective services, family law issues, and child & family services programs. Support high-risk populations by implementing behavioral health strategies and managing conflict situations with sensitivity and professionalism. Maintain detailed documentation of case progress, service plans, and client interactions using Microsoft Office tools for accurate record-keeping. Conduct home visits, provide childcare guidance, and deliver first aid or CPR when necessary to ensure immediate safety. Work effectively with culturally diverse communities by demonstrating cultural competence and respectful communication skills. Requirements Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology or a related field; master's degree preferred. Proven experience working with children, families, individuals with disabilities or high-risk populations in social services settings. Knowledge of child welfare laws, family law procedures, child protective services protocols, and behavioral health practices. Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—to engage effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds. Ability to manage crisis situations calmly and efficiently through crisis intervention techniques and conflict management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes. Valid CPR certification and first aid training; additional certifications in social work or child & family services are advantageous. Bilingual abilities are highly valued to better serve multicultural communities.
Pay:
Up to $30.00 per hour
