  • Requires flexibility for treatment to be provided in both community (Westmoreland County, PA) and an office-based setting
  • Starts as part-time with the opportunity to switch to full-time in the future!

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Therapist II
  • Engage PT/PRN works both independently and as a member of a team.
The incumbent also works as part of a coordinated specialty care team for youth and young adults who are experiencing FEP. The position has the ability to support family members through ongoing collaboration, coordination with schools, colleges, and universities, as well as organizations and community groups outside of behavioral health. The position requires flexibility for treatment to be provided in both community and office-based settings.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field with appropriate licenses.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in social services working with either adolescents and/or transition age population.
Licenses, Certifications & Clearances:
  • Act 33/34 Clearances
  • FBI Clearance
  • Valid State of PA Class 1 Drivers License
  • Access to properly insured motor vehicle for client transportation and fieldwork and a safe driving record
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintains familiarity with the
FEP CT-R
model of therapy through HeadsUp. Utilizes other approaches, such as CBT, MI, etc.
  • Uses a variety of educational materials, brief intervention techniques, and community resources to engage and increase consumer motivation, as well as to manage their chronic behavioral and medical conditions.
  • Maintains understanding of community resources to support consumers in achieving their goals.
  • Promotes shared decision-making when developing treatment plans and assessing progress towards goals.
  • Establishes a relapse prevention plan and a follow-up schedule with the consumers, monitoring consumers' progress throughout the maintenance phase.
  • Systematically screens consumers for depression and unhealthy substance use by utilizing evidence-based screening instruments appropriate to the population.
  • Clearly and effectively communicates with other providers, including both medical and behavioral health.
In particular, works closely with inpatient settings when a consumer enters that level of care and works with the facility treatment team around discharge planning.
