School-Based Social Worker - Portsmouth, Rhode Island Portsmouth, RI Job Details Part-time | Full-time | Contract $27 - $47 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications Social work Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to support elementary students within a well-regarded school district in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. The role involves providing licensed social work services during a leave of absence, focusing on promoting the social and emotional well-being of young learners. This assignment runs from late January through late March, with the possibility of extension through the end of the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver social work services to an elementary school caseload, addressing students' mental health and social-emotional development. Maintain accurate documentation of services rendered to support Medicaid reimbursement processes. Collaborate with school staff to create a supportive and nurturing environment for students. Participate in required trainings and onboarding procedures, including compliance with fingerprinting and background checks.Qualifications and Experience:
Current Rhode Island Social Worker license in good standing. Experience working with elementary-aged children in an educational setting preferred. Knowledge of Medicaid documentation requirements is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently within the school environment. Compliance with national and state background check requirements, including fingerprints.Location:
