Responsibilities/Duties This position requires working in an office setting with regular interaction with customers and staff. Some flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate scheduling needs.

Physical Requirements:

Requires prolonged sitting or standing, and occasional stooping, bending and reaching. Must work in a busy office environment with ability to perform skills such as computer, telephone, copiers and calculator. May require travel. Hearing ability sufficient to communicate with others effectively in person or over phone. Visual ability must be sufficient to read typewritten documents, computer screen and drive a car. Exert 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force consistently to move objects. Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling office equipment such as phones, printers, and filing systems. Key Responsibilities/Skills//Abilities

• Works with families in the home and supervisor toward administering an assessment for each family, considering the program goals and the individual needs of the family members.
• Maintain a minimum caseload of 5 families.
• Encourages and supports parent involvement and participation according to program goals.
• Must have good communication and writing skills.
• Knowledge of community resources to offer families to the appropriate community-based agencies, depending on family's needs.
• Implement and lead quarterly parent meetings.
• Conducts developmental screenings and other assessments as needed to determine child and family needs.
• Develop trusting relationships with participating families while also ensuring acceptance of individual differences.
• Makes referrals and connect families to needed resources in the community.
• Consistently and accurately completes all paperwork as required by the agency in a timely manner.
• Completes HFA/HFT Core training and other required training courses.
• Maintain accurate up-to-date documentation/records in APRICOT database system.
• Utilizes and completes assessment tools such as- ASQs, EPDS, HITS, and ACEs with all enrolled families.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on the Unite Us platform, maintaining and monitoring referrals sent and received.
• Attend meetings, conference calls, webinars, conferences, and trainings as required by Sullivan County Regional Health Department, TN Department of Health, and/or Healthy Families America/Healthy Families Tennessee which includes in-state and out-of-state travel.
• Work to achieve and maintain Infant Mental Health Endorsement through AIMHITN.
• Should have knowledge of Trauma Informed Care (TIC), the Adverse Childhood Experiences study (ACEs) resilience and the effect of trauma on individuals.

• Maintain updated alerting profile in TNHAN and respond timely to appropriate alerts.

• Provide accurate information about SCRHD services and policies.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience with family services which embrace the concepts of family centered and strength-based service provision.
• Knowledge of infant, child development and parent child attachment.
• Knowledge of maternal infant health and dynamics of child abuse and neglect.
• Experience in providing services to culturally diverse communities and families.
• Must have good organization, written and communication skills.
• Willing to engage in building reflective capacity.
• Infant Mental Health Endorsement preferred.
• An ability to establish trusting relationships.
