Job Description

The YWCA is seeking a passionate and organized Assistant Director of TechGYRLS to help lead our afterschool empowerment program for girls in grades 4-8. This position works alongside the Director to provide a safe, engaging, and educational environment that promotes academic success, leadership, confidence, and healthy lifestyles through STEAM education and enrichment programming. The Assistant Director is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the program, supervising participants and staff, coordinating educational activities, maintaining program records and compliance requirements, assisting with grant reporting, and ensuring the health and safety of all participants. This role also includes transporting students, collaborating with families and community partners, and assuming leadership of the program in the Director's absence. The ideal candidate has experience working with elementary and/or middle school youth, strong organizational and leadership skills, and a commitment to empowering girls through education and positive youth development.
Qualifications:
Associate degree or a minimum of three years of experience working with youth in grades 4-8 required Bachelor's degree preferred Must be at least 21 years of age in accordance with Tennessee Department of Education driver requirements Valid driver's license with the ability to operate a YWCA vehicle Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, schools, and community partners If you are dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of young girls and enjoy working in a dynamic, mission-driven environment, we encourage you to apply. $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
