Full Job Description SUMMARY:
The Family Greeter supports the direct service program by greeting everyone who comes through the doors of The Bridge Children's Advocacy Center and ensures they are treated professionally and made to feel comfortable.
REQUIREMENTS
Associate degree or 60 hours of college credits. Experience working with children. Two years' professional work experience. Knowledge of child abuse and investigative procedures preferred. Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
: Must be mission driven with unquestionable integrity. Must possess excellent computer skills and work effectively with many different constituencies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, facilitation skills, good time management and a collaborative approach is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Family Services
  • Greet each child client and non-offending parent or care giver, assist in maintaining their comfort, and provide support to family and child(ren) throughout interview and sexual assault exam process.
  • Assist in the coordination of the sexual assault exam process for exams conducted at The Bridge. Office Management
  • Primary person responsible for answering phones and greeting the public.
  • Responsible for correspondence (i.e. letters, faxes) under direction of the Leadership Team & Executive Director.
  • Handle mail (incoming and outgoing).
  • General office duties (filing, copying, typing) to assist other staff.
  • Maintain physical environment of the waiting area.
  • Ensure monitoring of supply inventory.
  • Ensure maintenance, housekeeping and upkeep of building and holiday decoration.
  • Donation management and organization Additional Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Regularly report to the Support Services Supervisor
  • Effectively work with others in a team environment and maintain composure in high stress situations.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills with clients, co-workers, Multi-Disciplinary Team Members, board members and the community.
  • Assist with volunteer and intern training, supervision, and appreciation as assigned by the Leadership Team and Executive Director.
  • Perform any and all activities to support the mission of the organization and ensure advocacy in the communities served as assigned by the Executive Director, Supervisor and/or Leadership Team.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
