What they do
A Family, School, or General Social Worker provides specialized assistance to vulnerable families and children. Intervenes in crisis situations; evaluates individual and family needs, helps clients get access to health care, mental health care or social services such as housing assistance. Advocates for clients and provides follow up visits. May work with teachers, parents and school administrators to help students improve academically and deal with social issues such as bullying.

- Social Worker Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Denton 3000 N I-35 Denton, TX 76201 (Onsite) Work hours: PRN (As Needed), schedule can vary depending on the unit; Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm or 10:00am-10:30pm and Saturday & Sunday, 8:30am-5:00pm.

We are the only choice in Denton for oncology services, women and infants' services, and much more. Here's What You Need- Master's Degree Social Work is required upon hire. (Individuals hired as a CTSW prior to May 11, 2017, will be grandfathered to the CTSW position with BSW, at the entity they were employed at on May 11, 2017)
- Three (3) years of hospital/medical social work experience is preferred.
- One (1) year of discharge planning/care management experience is preferred. Licenses and Certifications
- LMSW
- Licensed Master Social Worker or LCSW
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker is required upon hire.
- CPR
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is required upon hire.
- ACM
- Accredited Case Manager is preferred upon hire.
- CCM
- Certified Case Manager is preferred upon hire.
- Other ANCC is preferred. In addition to the qualifications, a successful Care Transition Manager
- Social Worker
