General Responsibilities:

30 hours/week, 12-6 pm, Monday-Friday, school days only (180 days) Works under the guidance and supervision of the Day Care Director and Preschool Director Assists with administrative duties - this could include: accountability, purchasing supplies, answering emails and phone calls, medication of children, communication with the Day Care Office Responsible for staffing, programming for 3 & 4 year olds after school Maintains safety and accountability policies/procedures Supports & Supervises staff Addresses observed Day Care staff performance concerns and informs the Day Care Director Assists in developing & supporting appropriate programming strategies for staff Provides an evaluation of Day Care staff twice each school year Provide ideas & suggestions to the Center Supervisor and works with the Center Supervisor to meet the needs of the families Minimum Required Education and Experience Center Supervisors shall be 21 years of age and have one of the following: 1. A graduate degree in a child-related field from a college or university and six months of programmatic experience; 2. An endorsement or bachelor's degree in a child-related field from a college or university and one year of programmatic experience; 3. Forty-eight semester hours or 72 quarter hours of college credit from a college or university of which 12 semester hours or 18 quarter hours are in child-related subjects and one year of programmatic experience; 4. Two years of programmatic experience with one year in a staff supervisory capacity and at least one of the following education backgrounds: A one-year early childhood certificate from a college or university that consists of at least 30 semester hours; or a child development credential. 5. Three years of programmatic experience including one year in a staff supervisory capacity and fulfilled a high school program completion or the equivalent. Such programmatic experience shall be obtained in a child day center that offers a staff training program that includes: written goals and objectives; and the subject areas of first aid, human growth and development, health and safety issues and behavioral management of children. Such employees shall complete a minimum of 60 hours of training during this three-year period and provide documentation of completing the training.
