4k Wraparound Child Care Coordinator

New Leaf Prep Academy is a Public Charter school with a Montessori and nature-based philosophy, and emphasis on holistic, hands-on learning! We are looking for a 4k Wrap Around Care Coordinator to join our team and support our 4k wrap around program. In this role you would work from 7:45am-3:30pm supporting our 4k students before or after their half day 4k class. Our 4k Wrap Around Care Coordinator will assist and guide students cohesively with the Montessori Methodology.

In this role you will:

Transition 4k students between their 4k class and wrap around care, overseeing lunch & recess Coordinate afternoon rest period and the wrap around program schedule Manage studio expectations, utilize montessori materials and methodology while encouraging each child's growth in the areas of educational, physical, emotional and social development Guide students in regulating emotions Guide students in grace and courtesy Provide timely feedback to students Provide one-on-one instruction Foster a love of learning Maintain a clean and purposeful environment Support students in a kind and respectful way Maintain a safe and collaborative studio atmosphere Act as a good role model in attitude, speech, and actions Be prepared to react to an emergency situation

Qualifications:

2 years academic preparation in early childhood, elementary education, recreation, or a related field is preferred but not required Ability to work well with children, direct experience preferred Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with co-workers, supervisor and parents Ability to follow verbal and or written instructions Ability to work under stress and handle stressful situations Must be able to work independently as well as within a team
