Job Description

Established in 1926, Family Service League is a social services agency transforming lives and communities through mental health, addiction, housing, and essential human services with more than 60 social service programs in over 20 locations.
SCHEDULE
Option #1: Monday 1-9pm, Tuesday 12-8pm, Wednesday 10 -6pm, Thursday 10-6pm Friday 12-8pm OR Option #2: Monday 12-9pm, Tuesday 9-5pm, Wednesday 9-5pm, Thursday off, Friday 11-8pm, Saturday 9-2pm.
SUMMARY:
Family Service League is seeking a full-time Social Worker /Counselor for our Mental Health Clinic in Huntington. The Social Worker/ Counselor will provide evaluations, treatment planning, psychotherapy and crisis intervention to children, families and adults with a full range of DSM diagnoses in a clinic setting, including co-occurring disorders. Services are delivered in a trauma informed, culturally and linguistically competent manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Social Worker will provide evaluation/assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy and crisis intervention to those with behavioral health needs. Provide individual and family therapy to children ages 5 and up, adolescents and adults with a full range of DSM diagnoses. Provide services that are delivered in a trauma-informed, culturally and linguistically competent manner. Provide crisis intervention during scheduled work hours as is needed. Complete all clinical documentation in accordance with OMH standards in the electronic medical record. The Social Worker will collaborate with family and other collateral contacts including care coordination providers. Participate in routing supervision and team meetings. Attend agency mandated trainings. Provide telehealth when needed. Attend routine supervision and team meetings. Identify and recommend additional referrals as needed. All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in relevant human service field required. LMSW, LMHC, LCSW or related licensed clinical degree/ permit required. At least one year of experience working in a behavioral health setting required. Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to multitask, problem solve, make clear decisions, and work individually and as part of a team. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records required. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Must be available to work evenings and Saturdays.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time.
