This role provides clinical support to adults in a residential treatment setting, focusing on substance use recovery and detoxification. The ideal candidate is a registered ACSW who is passionate about helping clients begin their recovery journey in a safe, structured, and supportive environment. Position Summary The Associate Clinical Social Worker provides individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, and discharge planning for clients receiving residential detox services. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team of medical and clinical professionals, the ACSW plays a key role in supporting clients through the early, often most challenging stages of recovery. Key Responsibilities Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based modalities (CBT, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, etc.) Facilitate psychoeducational and process groups on topics related to addiction, recovery, coping skills, and relapse prevention Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to clients during withdrawal and stabilization Coordinate care with medical staff, psychiatrists, case managers, and outside providers Develop comprehensive discharge plans and aftercare referrals to support continued recovery Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in compliance with state regulations and licensing standards Participate in clinical supervision, treatment team meetings, and ongoing professional development
Qualifications Required:
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program Current registration as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) Minimum of 1 year of experience in clinical social work, behavioral health, or a related setting Knowledge of substance use disorders, withdrawal management, and evidence-based treatment approaches Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred:
Experience working with clients in residential, detox, or inpatient behavioral health settings Familiarity with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders Bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred Schedule & Compensation Full-Time position, 40 hours per week Flexible scheduling available
Pay:
