The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) provides comprehensive psychosocial assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and therapeutic services to individuals admitted to the inpatient psychiatric unit. This position also participates in the hospital's Mobile Response Team, providing on-site crisis assessment and intervention services in the community to support individuals experiencing acute psychiatric distress.
Key Responsibilities:
Inpatient Psychiatric Services Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and discharge planning for patients admitted to the inpatient psychiatric unit. Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and case managers. Provide individual, group, and family therapy utilizing evidence-based modalities. Facilitate patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, and available community resources. Participate actively in daily multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and contribute to clinical decision-making. Ensure appropriate discharge and continuity of care planning, coordinating with community agencies, outpatient providers, and support networks. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. Mobile Crisis Response Duties Respond to psychiatric crises in the community as part of the Mobile Response Team (MRT), providing rapid, on-site assessment and stabilization. Evaluate risk and safety, including suicide, homicide, and psychosis risk assessments, and determine appropriate interventions. Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency departments, and community partners to facilitate safe and effective crisis resolution. Provide short-term crisis counseling, safety planning, and linkage to appropriate inpatient, outpatient, or community-based services. Participate in on-call rotation for mobile crisis response coverage during evenings, weekends, or holidays as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
Licensure:
Current and active LCSW license in the state of Florida.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a psychiatric, behavioral health, or crisis intervention setting preferred. Experience in both inpatient and community-based mental health services strongly desired.
Skills:
Strong assessment, crisis intervention, and therapeutic counseling skills. Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and evidence-based treatment practices. Familiarity with community mental health systems, involuntary treatment procedures, and crisis stabilization protocols.
Other Requirements:
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for mobile response duties. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Pay:
$30.00 per hour
