Counseling Supervisor, Miriam Learning CenterPOSITION SUMMARY
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker/ Counselor evaluates the psycho-social needs of early childhood aged children and adolescents and makes appropriate recommendations to improve functioning at school and in the community. He/she provides individual, group and/or family counseling. Settings for work duties include on-site at the Learning Center during the school year.RESPONSIBILITIES
To provide a comprehensive and professional assessment of each child's psycho-social issues. To make appropriate recommendations based upon assessment results. To complete assessment reports in a professional and timely manner. To determine an appropriate treatment pathway for a child/family. To maintain contact with other professionals at the Center, in the school, and with the family to ensure coordinated treatment efforts. To submit notes and billing in a timely manner. To refer the child and/or family for community services as needed. To provide individual, group and/or family counseling using a CBT model. Any other duties as specified by the supervisor.
