Capital District Psychiatric Center (CDPC) is recruiting for Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for their adult inpatient psychiatric units. Licensed Social Workers will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate care and individualized support services to adults in an inpatient setting.
Duties including:
  • Providing individual psychotherapy to adults.
  • Facilitating up to 4 weekly clinical group programs.
  • Developing clinical group curriculum to meet Joint Commission and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services programming requirements.
  • Completing required paperwork including intake, core history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Providing case management services.
  • Coordinating and facilitating discharge planning with Social Work Team.
  • Providing verbal de-escalation and participating in interventions.
  • Assisting in training and orientation of new staff and/or interns.
Minimum QualificationsCandidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement - Statewide (NY HELPS) program if they are licensed and currently registered as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York State. OR Candidates within State Service can be considered transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Additional CommentsLCSWs are eligible for shift differential pay
  • 7% for evening and weekend day shifts
