Work Environment This role is primarily conducted in a remote setting, allowing for flexibility while ensuring that you can effectively engage with families and children. As part of our detox center's holistic approach to wellness, you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including educators, healthcare providers, and family support staff. This collaborative atmosphere encourages continuous learning and growth, facilitating improved outcomes for the children and families we serve. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments for children referred to early intervention programs. Actively participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) by collaborating with families and the treatment team. Monitor the progression and outcomes of enrolled children, making necessary adjustments to intervention strategies based on developmental milestones and family needs. Provide vital support and resources to families, aiding them in enhancing their child's developmental skills. Utilize evidence-based practices and the Natural Learning Environment Practices to foster growth and development within everyday routines. Administer various assessments as mandated by Federal and State regulations to ensure compliance and quality of service delivery. Develop strong rapport with children and families, creating an encouraging atmosphere that promotes communication and growth. Utilize a coaching model to teach families effective strategies and techniques that are beneficial in real-world settings. Ensure all interventions align with health and safety standards to maintain a secure and supportive environment for all clients. Patient Population / Client Focus The focus of this role is primarily on infants and toddlers who experience developmental delays or disabilities. Your expertise as an LCSW will empower these children, enabling them to reach significant developmental milestones in areas such as physical, cognitive, social/emotional, and communication skills. By providing tailored support and guidance to families, you play a critical role in fostering their child's growth and overall well-being. Qualifications Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) or Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) from an accredited institution. Current LCSW credentials licensed by the Department of Public Health. A valid driver's license is required for community visits and family engagements. Demonstrate adaptability, understanding various learning styles necessary for individualizing treatment plans. Prior experience of at least one year in working with children, specifically in early intervention contexts. Commitment to implementing Natural Learning Environment Practices is essential. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as language skills can enhance communication with diverse families. Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills are vital for effectively managing caseload and collaboration with team members. Preferred Experience Demonstrated success in establishing rapport with children and their families and in building trusting relationships.
